Costa Blanca: all the delights of one coast
Costa Blanca, the coast of the province of Alicante in the south of the Valencian Community, is one of the most popular tourist regions in Europe. The coastline annually becomes a vacation spot for millions of people from around the world. Many of them, having appreciated the mild climate and high quality of life, acquire their own homes here. Some choose large cities – the center of the province of Alicante or the “Mediterranean Miami” Benidorm, others prefer the suburban residential complexes of Torrevieja and Denia, and still others settle in quiet mountain villages. There is a place under the Spanish sun for everyone!
There is no bad weather on the Costa Blanca
Although Alexander Sergeevich Pushkin had never been to the Costa Blanca or to Spain at all, he was close to the truth when he said that “our northern summer is a caricature of southern winters.” The average annual temperature in the province of Alicante exceeds 17 degrees: summers are mildly hot, and winters are pleasantly cool. The sun shines over the Costa Blanca 320 days a year, and the sea water, warming up to 28–30 degrees in summer, is suitable for swimming even in winter. In the mountainous regions far from the coast, the climate is a little harsher, it rains more often and sometimes snows. But in general, few places in Europe can boast such climatic conditions as nature has gifted to the Costa Blanca.
